Fostering and Adoption

Every child deserves a safe, loving and stable home. In Sandwell, we work with people from all walks of life who want to make a difference by offering children the care, security and encouragement they need to flourish. Through our fostering and adoption services, we help children build strong foundations for their future – and support carers every step of the way.

Fostering provides children with a nurturing home when they cannot live with their birth family. Our foster carers offer stability, guidance and warmth, helping children feel valued and supported during a difficult time in their lives. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing support and a dedicated team to ensure carers feel confident and connected.

Adoption offers children a permanent, lifelong family. Working closely with our regional adoption agency, Adoption@Heart, we help prospective adopters understand the process, prepare for their new role and build loving, secure relationships that last. We are committed to matching children with families who can offer the stability, care and sense of belonging they deserve.

Whether you are exploring fostering, considering adoption, or simply want to learn more, Sandwell Children’s Trust is here to guide you. Together, we can create safe, supportive homes where children and young people thrive.

Adoption

We always want to hear from people who are interested in adoption. We have children of all ages and backgrounds who need a stable family home.

Kinship care is when a child is cared for by a relative, family friend or another person with a close connection to them.
