We Are Sandwell Awards

A few weeks ago a man was on the pedestrian bridge linking the car park to Sandwell Council House who clearly needed help.

Kimberley Smalling, an Approach Consultant from the Trust’s Social Work Academy was one of the people that spoke to the man and stopped him from jumping. Along with colleagues from Sandwell Council, the man was taken to safety and was then helped by the Approved Mental Health team.

We do not want to think of what may have happened if Kim had not been on the bridge at that time and as a 'thank you' for her incredible work Kim has been invited to the 'We Are Sandwell Awards' that are taking place on Friday 11 October at West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

Well done and thank you Kim.
